Waxing Services

What type of wax do you use? Hard or Soft wax?

We utilize a hypoallergenic hard wax that specifically caters to those with sensitive skin, providing a more comfortable and less painful waxing experience as it adheres to the hair and not the skin.

Why is waxing better than shaving?

Discover why waxing is a superior method to shaving. By eliminating the hair shaft from the root, waxing guarantees remarkably smooth skin while preventing stubble. Moreover, waxing promises longer-lasting outcomes, and repeated sessions contribute to thinner and finer regrowth.

How long should hair be before scheduling a wax?

Ensure optimal results with our waxing services by waiting approximately 2 to 3 weeks after shaving to schedule, allowing your hair to reach the ideal half-inch length for effective hair removal.

Is there anything I can do for the pain from waxing?

Minimize discomfort during waxing by taking a painkiller 30-45 minutes before your session and avoiding caffeine. Women can reduce sensitivity by avoiding waxing around their menstrual period. Keep in mind that waxing may still cause some minimal discomfort.

I want to get waxed for my Wedding/Vacation/Prom. Any Tips?

To achieve flawless and hair-free skin for your special occasion, it is crucial to plan ahead and book your waxing appointment at least 6 weeks in advance to prevent any potential adverse reactions. For optimal results, we suggest scheduling another waxing session 3 days prior to the event and refraining from tanning 48 hours before and after waxing.

I'm using Retin- A/ Tretinoin/Accutane/Hydroquinone/ other prescriptions

If you are using a topical prescription cream, it is recommended that you discontinue its use for a week before and a few days after your waxing appointment to minimize irritation. For clients taking Accutane/Isotretinoin, waxing services can only be provided after 6 months of discontinuing the medication, as waxing while on Accutane can lead to significant skin tearing.

Will I experience ingrown hairs from waxing?

Our experience has shown that most people who opt for waxing instead of shaving tend to experience fewer ingrown hairs, although it is important to note that individuals prone to ingrown hairs may still encounter them regardless of the hair removal method chosen. To prevent and address ingrown hairs, we suggest utilizing the highly effective and customizable product lines we carry,  Synsori, Fur, & Se Brazil which can be used both as a preventive measure and for treating existing ingrown hairs

How often should I schedule my waxing treatments?

With regular waxing sessions every 4-6 weeks, you can expect a gradual weakening of hair follicles, making the removal process less painful and easier. Over time, this consistent routine may even result in reduced hair growth, giving you long-lasting smoothness and optimal results.

Can I wax during my cycle?

Absolutely! Receive a comfortable waxing service during your period, complete with complimentary organic tampons and wipes for your convenience. Our priority is to ensure you feel clean and comfortable throughout your visit, allowing you to have a positive experience at any time of the month.

Body Treatments

Is a chemical body peel safe for darker skin?

Yes! Our chemical peels not only provide safe and effective treatments for ALL skin tones, but they are specifically designed with skin of color in mind, ensuring optimal results.

Why am I not peeling? Is this normal?

There are many reasons why you may not see the peeling. Even if you can’t see something with the naked eye, the  Peel is still working for you and exfoliating at the cellular level to brighten and improve your skin’s appearance.

How long can I expect to peel for?

In general, you can expect to start peeling on or around day 5-7 and peel for about four to five days afterward. Each person’s peeling experience is a little different, and some may peel for more or fewer days, depending on the condition of the skin. If this is your first VI Peel Body treatment, it’s also normal to start peeling a little later and peel for a longer period of time.

Can I workout after a Body Peel Treatment?

You should refrain from exercising to prevent any blistering in the skin or Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH). It is suggested to refrain from exercise for the entire 10-14 day peeling process so as not to induce heat or inflammation in the skin (which can lead to further damage).
